All are welcome to submit work for the show. This includes professional artists as well as beginners/students. All work must be the original work of the artist entering the piece- no reproductions, no copyright or trademark infringements, no artist led group paintings, please.


Any size allowed as space permits. All 2-D pieces must have appropriate hangers, all 3-D pieces must be ready to display. Shady Ladies Art, LLC reserves the right to determine the appropriateness of any work submitted to display in the show.

ALL WORKS SUBMITTED MUST BE FOR SALE. In addition to the entry fee, Shady Ladies will collect a 20% commission from any work in the show that is sold. In accordance with government reporting regulations any artist that is to receive more than $600 yearly cumulative total for sales will be required to furnish their Social Security number to Shady Ladies before funds will be released. The artist will then receive a 1099 from Shady Ladies reporting income for the year.

All work submitted is the sole responsibility of the artist. Shady Ladies will not assume any responsibility for theft, loss, or damage. All work is to remain on display for the duration of the show and must be picked up by the artist prior to the opening for the next show. Any work not picked up within the month following the close of the show will be considered abandoned by the artist and will be disposed of in any manner deemed appropriate by Shady Ladies with any proceeds from the abandoned work going to Shady Ladies.

Judging will be done by People's Choice during the "First Thursday" reception and winners will be announced at the end of the evening- all decisions are final.

The winner will receive a $25 Shady Ladies gift certificate which can be used toward artwork or classes.
